Randies Original Paintings
The paintings above were painted from either photos of family or others or from a combination of two other paintings of others. From top to bottom, Children at Laguna Beach, Elk in the Woods, Sunset Glow, Sunrise at my beach house at K38, Baja, CA, The Surf in Late Afternoon - View from my Surfboard, Waimea Shorebreak ( a famous photo), Yukon (from an award winning photo).
Randies Copies of Beautiful Paintings
I have always loved fine art and I wanted it in my home. So when I would see a painting I liked I figured out how to re-create it - usually from an image no larger than 3"-5". I have never been to school to learn how to paint. I just figured it out reading and experimenting. From top to bottom - Autumn Gate - Alex Butirsky, Big Sur - ?, Bird on Twig, 1928 , The Canoe - Daniel Smith, Christ Walking on Water - Julius von Klever, American Landscapist, Enchanted Forest, Girl With Pearl Earring - Vermeer, Mountain Goats - Michael Coleman, The Young Shepherdess - William-Adolphe Bouguereau

A baja sunrise - oil painting of K38

My beach house lies on a south facing beach, so the sun comes up to our left as we look out to the ocean. Some mornings an ethereal orange glow appears just after sunrise, which I hopefully have captured in this oil painting. What is particularly beautiful is how the first sun rays hit the white water as it tumbles down the face of the wave.
